The Romans Road to salvation
We make fishing baits, but this is the most important thing we have to share. These five verses from the book of Romans explain how anyone can be saved.
-
We are all sinners
Romans 3:23
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"
Nobody is good enough on their own. Not us, not anybody.
-
Sin has a price
Romans 6:23
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
What we've earned is death. What God offers instead is a gift: eternal life through Jesus.
-
God loves us
Romans 5:8
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
God didn't wait for us to clean ourselves up. Christ died for us while we were still sinners.
-
Believe in Jesus
Romans 10:9
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
Believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, and say out loud that He is Lord.
-
Call upon the Lord
Romans 10:13
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Whosoever means you. That's God's promise.
A prayer of salvation
There are no magic words. God hears your heart. If you're ready, you can pray something like this, right where you're standing.
Dear Heavenly Father, I know that I am a sinner, and I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins and rose again. I repent of my sins and put my faith and trust in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Please forgive me, change my heart, and help me live for You. Thank You for Your love and the gift of eternal life. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Prayed that prayer? We want to hear about it.
Or if you're not there yet, if you've got questions, or if you just need somebody to pray with you, we'd love to hear from you. Call, text or send a note.
